Yo, thanks for the reciprocatory shout out. I think it's a powerful thing when an artist/writer/creator/mind participate with their audience.
Most annoying to hear that the book didn't post good numbers. Hopefully positive reviews will do well for the second installment.
Another note, is that with the book coming out on Archaia I know are a lot of people simply waiting for the HC. The studio does such particularly beautiful work on those releases that it actually encourages people to forgo floppies.
That said, I very rarely buy trade or HC printings of series I already have the monthlies of, but Archaia titles are often the exceptions. Along with Mouse Guard and Robotika, I will also buy HC releases of The Killer, Okko, and this title even though I'm also buying the individual comics. So basically, HC is where it's gonna be at. Less of the monthlies may sell, but the HC movement will be impressively large.(If anyone pressures or implies going for a tpb - fight. No arguments about cheaperprice/volume will be worth listening to. The quality of the beautiful HC is what will sell.)
The comic is solid. If the rest of it is as such or more so, then don't worry. People will buy it eventually, one way or another. Word of mouth and Archaia's professionalism will carry this one.
